Not From the Zoo (NFTZ) is a wild tribe of 8,888 unique editions minted on the Ethereum blockchain. The animated nature of the collection transcends the lively characters behind its animals, their uniqueness and ability to express emotions. Like in the real world, the animals have feelings - whether joy, fear, love or sadness. They reflect the thousands of animals held in captivity, separated from their natural habitat and forced to perform. NFTZ aim to evoke awareness of the animals being living creatures that deserve respect and protection.
With generative NFT collectibles, an algorithm mixes together traits (or 'properties') like background color, eye type, or a variety of mouths to create a huge range of combinations of visual outputs. The result is thousands of unique NFTs, each with its distinctive set of attributes. Thanks to these properties and their unequal distribution, certain items in the collection will be rarer than others! You can use your unique animal to express reactions on social networks, share the cause, or even put it as a profile picture.

PETA doesn’t let a single day go by without making progress for animals who are being exploited and abused for entertainment. PETA’s headline-grabbing campaigns and determined activism is leading to the seizure of tigers held by notorious animal abusers, the closure of hideous roadside zoos, and the rescue of bears, chimpanzees and other animals from decrepit roadside zoos and circuses. How do I buy an NFT?
1 - Download the metamask.io extension for the Chrome/Brave browser or app on mobile. This will allow you to make purchases with Ethereum and can be found in the extensions tab. If you are on mobile, you must use the Metamask App Browser.
2- You can purchase Ethereum through the Metamask Wallet using Wyre or Send Ethereum from an exchange like Coinbase.
3- Click on Connect at the top of the page and connect your Metamask.
4 -Once joined, you will be able to purchase the NFTs in the mint section. You will be prompted to sign your transaction. FYI, there will be a fee associated with every transaction related to gas prices. Once you have made your purchase, your Not From the Zoo NFTs will be viewable in your wallet and on OpenSea.
